pretty girls album cover
“Hey Iggy, do you think they sell Starbucks in space? If not I don’t want to stay up here too long…” Britney Spears while working on the Pretty Girls cover.
Pop Princess Britney “Godney” Spears is no stranger to space travel. The FHM 12th Sexiest Woman in the World travelled to Mars to shoot her video for “Oops!…I Did It Again,” donning that red catsuit and perfectly playing the role of a Martian Queen of dance, fire, and Titanic references. She revisited the concept of space on her most personal album to date, Britney Jean, while working with William Orbit on her spacey and gorgeous cut “Alien” (which should have made it on this list, but I’m dumb and forgot). As such, it should come as no surprise that Britney decided to join Iggy Azalea for a little more intergalactic travel, this time for the Pretty Girls cover.
On the cartoonish cover, Britney can be seen straddling a rocket (because obviously) while Iggy (who also had her place on FHM’s list) is serving her best alien Amy Winehouse impression. Her grey beehive is a testament to how hight “Pretty Girls” will chart once it is released on May 4 (FOUR FREAKING DAYS), and that grey body armor looks like it may have been borrowed from one of B-Girl’s dancers. Is this a sign that Iggy will be joining Britney for a performance on the Britney: Piece of Me show circuit? If so, are we even ready? I already know that I can’t even…
ALAS, there may be some drama with the Pretty Girls cover. Read under the jump to see what I mean…Continue reading
connor franta gets a lot bit personal in his memoir a work in progress
“I’m just a small town kid trying to figure out my place in the big, wide world. I’ve only been around for twenty-two years, and there’s so much left for me to explore and learn.” Connor Franta is A Work In Progress…
It’s been a little more than a week since Connor Franta has released his first ever book, a memoir titled A Work In Progress, and I am still reeling from the read. Even though it took me less than a day to read about Connor’s adventures (because they’re absolutely consuming), I think that I needed a few additional days to let it ruminate before hopping on here to talk about my experience with the book. Now, some of you who are unfamiliar with Connor Franta may be wondering how in the hell a 22 year old guy could have enough experiences to compile a memoir?
You may be exclaiming that he is way too young as you hitch up your glasses to read the screen better, or doubting that he has anything really worthwhile to pass on since he works every day of his life creating content to post on YouTube. You may be saying that you’re a doctor, an accountant, a lawyer, a teacher, a whatever it is that you are, and that you don’t really need to take advice from someone who is doing what Connor Franta does. Let me tell you that in a lot of ways, you are very wrong. There is a lot to learn from Connor Franta, and if you take the chance you won’t regret it.
In a way though, Connor agrees with you. Not about YouTube being easy or being a waste of time (because that’s just silly), but about his relatively young age. That’s why he titled his work A Work In Progress, he realizes that there is still so much left for him to experience in life. But he has experienced a lot on his journey already. Not many of us can say that at the young age of 22 we post videos every week that are followed by more than four million likeminded individuals; not many of us have the reach to touch that many lives. Some of us haven’t already travelled the globe on worldwide adventures, making friends and memories that span country lines. Some of us haven’t even been able to make the decisions that are most geared towards our happiness, even if we want to more than anything else. Connor Franta has had many of these adventures, he’s taken pictures along the way, and there is something for everyone if you go in with an open mind.
how can you deny that face?
Now that I’ve convinced you that it’s worthwhile, read on under the jump for my official review of A Work In Progress (I promise it is shorter than the novel, by a bit)!
who ended up where on this year’s fhm 100 sexiest women in the world?
Pop Princess and YouTube Royalty make their way onto this year’s FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World List! Who made the cut, and where exactly did the eternal princess of Lace and Leather Miss Britney Spears land…
Every year FHM honors the fairest women in the land with their compilation of the 100 sexiest women in the world. The list contains a collection of the most beautiful models, actresses, personalities, musicians, and talents from across the globe, and it tells you exactly why the made the list. This year’s queen of FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World is UK actress Michelle Keegan. A bevy of other eternally gorgeous women have made this year’s list such as Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, and the Kardashian and Jenner girls (because obviously). Making this year’s list even better though are the Pop Princesses and YouTube Royalty that have made there way onto the chart.
Fans of the Holy Spearit rejoice, because after being absent from last year’s list Britney Spears has returned to the FHM 100 Sexiest Women. Not only has she (and her fellow pretty girl Iggy Azalea) made it onto this year’s FHM 100 Sexiest Women list, but she is also in the top quarter of the list. High up in the top quarter. Also on this year’s list include the obvious collection of beauties from music: Beyonce, Tay Tay Swiftie, Rihanna, and so the list continues. Even better, several YouTubers have made it onto this year’s list, including the obvious Queen of YouTube Jenna Marbles (YAS) and beauty guru Zoella.
Check out the list to see who made this year’s FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World and where exactly they fall on the list under the cut!
meet the soulful crooner nick hagelin on his new self-titled ep
I promised you I’d never break your heart / nothings gonna take us apart / we’re the lucky ones…
There is a rising talent emerging from the Atlanta music scene and his name is Nick Hagelin. With a soulful voice (that is simply made for crooning a love song) and some dance and acting experience, Nick was bound for a career in music. You may be familiar with him from his acoustic cover videos that are posted on his YouTube channel (like this one where he covers the immortal Holy Spearit’s “Till The World Ends“), and his soulful voice and innovative interpretations have garnered him a following of fans that led to large scale exposure.
After signing a record deal and beginning work on an debut EP under the label, Hagelin made the decision to go independent as an artist to work on music from a more personally driven point of view. Now the talented musician has released his own self-written and self-titled album to the masses through Spotify. Nick Hagelin is a wonderful collection of music that displays Nick’s best qualities as a musician. It is lush with soulful lyrics, bright production, and a message for every lover out there.
Check out my full review and take a listen to the entirety of Nick Hagelin’s self-tited EP under the cut!
