Justin Bieber channels Britney Spears and gets rather Artsy-Fartsy in the colorful Where Are U Now Music Video…

Pop music’s bad boy gone good Justin Bieber had a hit on his hands after collaborating with Jack U (a union of hot producers Skrillex and Diplo) on their summery club hit “Where Are U Now.”  The “Baby” musician was amply rewarded for his foray into an experimental new sound, and the single is rapidly gaining spins on radio since it’s release earlier this year.  After a few months of making us wait, Jack U and the Biebs have finally hit us with the video for “Where Are U Now,” and it was worth the wait.

The Brewer directed visual solely features Justin Bieber, but Jack U and Madonna’s youngest new boy toy went out of their way to make it about their fans who were responsible for making the single as successful as it has been.

We are being overwhelmed, in a good way, by the success of “Where Are Ü Now” with Justin Bieber, so with the video we wanted to just take it back to the beginning of the record & essentially create an ode to our fans. Doing what we do, it’s entirely all about the fans. We walk a fine line by being “famous” and in the public eye but we are only here because of you, the fans. Justin wrote this record during a tough time in his life and it comes to us that sometimes, as artists, we are also just objects and we have to take that as much as we have to use that to create. We all do this for you, respect that you put us here and it’s Ü that made the video

How did the fan’s get involved in the video?  By drawing all over Justin Bieber!

I-G-G-WHY?  Iggy Azalea finds herself in another minor Twitter Battle, this time about her summer smasha “Pretty Girls.”

Fans around the globe hailed Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s undeniably energizing “Pretty Girls” as a song of the summer from the very moment that they first heard the single back in March.  With it’s bumping vocal performance from B-Girl (I still cannot even at the vocal runs) and I-G-G-Y’s reference heavy verse, the single seemed guaranteed to blow up on radio in the coming months; alas, this was not the case.  Unfortunately, “Pretty Girls” has failed to meet the high expectations set by fans and both Spears and Azalea’s teams.

Thus far the track has peaked at a respectable (though SLIGHTLY underwhelming) Number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it doesn’t show signs up picking up anytime soon.  While a Top 30 hit may not be anything to scoff at, it is arguably a low placing for a collaboration between one of pop music’s most promising new comers and a living legend (who is hot as ice and cold as fire).  There are a variety of reasons for the song to have failed to make a lasting impression, and many people have shared their thoughts on the single’s underperformance.  Chief amongst those pondering where “Pretty Girls” went wrong is Iggy Azalea herself, and the Twitter warrior has recently shared her thoughts, blaming a lack of promotion for the single’s poor performance.

“It’s difficult to send a song up the charts without additional promo and TV performances,” the Aussie-born rapper explained in one of several posts that made their way onto social media on June 28.  Britney and Iggy did manage to squeeze a performance of the single in during the 2015 Billboard Music Awards; but Iggy clearly doesn’t think that was enough.  She went on to explain that she would have loved to perform the song more, but that she didn’t have any control as a feature.  Iggy Azalea has removed the messages from her Twitter since posting them; however, she has continued to defend her stance as media outlets report that she was blaming Britney for the single’s poor performance.  The “Black Widow” rapper vows that the claws aren’t out, but that she was just pointing out her opinion.

“Cuz this is Thriller Night!”  Pentatonix cover Michael Jackson’s classics and get really, really bad in their Evolution of Michael Jackson…

Pop’s eternally imaginative hit makers, Pentatonix are paying tribute to the King of Pop Michael Jackson in their newest video, the Evolution of Michael Jackson.  In their hands Pentatonix track the evolution of Michael Jackson’s musical stylings, revisiting his earliest hits with the Jackson 5 before progressing to some of his more recent hits.  Their performance of “Beat It” is arguably much more impressive than my 2012 show choir rendition of Weird Al Yankovic’s “Eat It” (it was a dark time in my formative years), and the magic doesn’t stop there.

The compilation strips Jackson’s productions down to the base components, and the group performs the entire production a cappella (delivering the performance with their high levels of perfection).  The group starts out by helping us count to three and going through the abc’s, but things move along rapidly to an edgier time in Jackson’s discography.  Things get thrilling as we travel to Dirty Diana’s abode before getting soulful on some of Jackson’s later cuts.  Pentatonix crush it, and in the immortal words of Michael Jackson they beat it good…

“You’re going into the ocean or into a chlorine filled pool and you’re going to spend almost $300 on this.  Why don’t you just wear your prom dress?!”  Shit gets real in Men Guess Women’s Bathing Suit Prices…

As we are rapidly approaching summer, women and men across the globe are heading out to purchase the perfect swimsuit for frolicking in the sand.  It’s time to replace those tattered suits from last year with a fashionable new addition to the wardrobe.  The only question is how much you will be spending on the suit.  For men, the answer may be significantly less than women.  “I would never spend $175 on a bathing suit.  I mean maybe if it lit up or something cool,” one guy revealed when asked about swim wear pricing.  But what about women?  Do men know how much women pay for their suits?

Buzzfeed Videos decided to conduct an experiment to see if men were able to determine how much women were paying for their suits this year.  Hence the creation of Men Guess Women’s Bathing Suit Prices.  In their newest video Buzzfeed recruited some male staff members and a variety of bathing suits, which (you guessed it) the men had to estimate the cost of.  All I can say is that they gave it a fighting chance.

While guessing the prices of individual suits the guys struggle to comprehend how some of the suits work.  Tops seem too small to contain the girls, cut outs reference secret cults (#IlluminatiStruggles), and sometimes it is really hard to tell a top from a bottom.  Some suits impress and others… fall a little short.

Each contestant has a slightly different process to determining the final prices for suits.  For some more frills equal more money.  Others based pricing on the demographic that it appeared to appeal to.  Few were successful.  Many were baffled.  It was amazing…
