I know that this is Britney Week, but I wanted to take a moment to talk about another member of Music Royalty, Miss Nicki Minaj here on Days with Destiny! Last night Nicki Minaj caused an uproar by sending a free download her new song, All Things Go, to anyone who preordered The Pink Print on iTunes. The track in question is a seriously personal offering with a stripped back production that allows the focus to remain on Nicki and her lyrics. Nicki really let it all out on the song, singing about her relationship with her family and the struggles of balancing life at home with her professional expectations. Nicki leaves no stone unturned on the track, revealing her ambitions and dreams alongside her sorrows. There is an overwhelming sense of guilt and sadness on the track, but her strength still comes through. Stream the track below and let me know what you think about Miss Minaj’s new offering.
Nicki promises that The Pink Print was going to be her most personal offering to date, and that is already evident. A few weeks ago she released Bed of Lies, another heart wrenching offering from Miss Minaj. These two tracks have revealed a new side to Nicki, one that is commonly hidden behind rainbow bright color and explosive personality.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a holiday all about giving thanks (which I have started doing HERE) and eating massive quantities of food. It is a time to gather with friends and family, to share home and hearth, and to reflect upon the bountiful past year. Thanksgiving is celebrated with a feast, and the focal point of the meal is usually a turkey, which has been lovingly washed, seasoned, and roasted (or fried) for hours before the big meal. Turkey is truly a staple for any Thanksgiving Feast, but what happens if you don’t enjoy the big bird? What do you eat then? Personally, I am not a fan of turkey, so as we count down the minutes until dinner tomorrow I’ll share some of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving Dinner! If you’re like me, prepare for a plateful of delicious carbs and sweets, which you’ll be able to share with your loved ones and wash down with a hearty swig of booze. Tell me that doesn’t sound like a DREAM MEAL! Read on under the jump for the 10 best things about your holiday feast if you aren’t a fan of turkey!Continue reading
